Nannies Master CPR and First Aid Skills

“I learned from the CPR training: ABC or Airway Breathing Circulation, AED or Automatic External Defibrillator, how to activate EMS, or to call 911 during an accident or if they need your help. I will just have to ask the patient for permission to give 30 times compressions, 2 times breaths, until the patient responds! To save a life is important to all and a huge help for emergencies, even to our own families. Thank you all  🙏❤️”

WeRise Nanny Training participants and Damayan members are now more prepared for emergency health situations and are empowered with their professional nanny skills! What steps did our nannies take to sharpen their skills?

  • WeRise Module 9: CPR and First Aid Training WeRise trainers modeled to eager domestic workers how to handle emergency health situations and confidently facilitate CPR. Nannies listened to the ‘Staying Alive’ song to master the rhythm of CPR and practiced different first aid and CPR steps! From removing contaminated gloves correctly to wrapping injuries, the nannies all succeeded!

As nannies become experts in first aid, they gain more professional skills and can use these skills to negotiate for fair and higher pay and benefits from their employers. By equipping nannies with these skills, the Damayan WeRise CPR and First Aid training empowers nannies to be prepared and confident!
