Relief 2 Recovery; Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Filipinos
On November 8, 2013, the Philippines was devastated by Typhoon Haiyan (or Yolanda), the largest typhoon to make landfall in recorded history. It has been nine months since Typhoon Haiyan hit, and the United States has still not granted the Philippines Temporary Protected Status (TPS) , as it normally does for countries experiencing so much turmoil. Last month, recovery efforts from Typhoon Haiyan were disrupted and further damage was done by Typhoon Glenda (or Rammasun). It is clear that many parts of the country are still in great need. Join the campaign to demand TPS for the Philippines!
